Abstract:
Industrialwastewateroftencontainsvariouspollutants,includingchloroanilines,whicharehighlytoxictobothhumansandtheenvironment.Therefore,itiscrucialtodevelopefficientanalyticaltechniquestoaccuratelydeterminetheconcentrationofchloroanilinesinwastewater.Gaschromatography(GC)hasemergedasapowerfultoolfortheanalysisofchloroanilinesduetoitshighsensitivity,selectivity,andversatility.Thispaperaimstoexplorethetheory,methods,andapplicationsofGCintheanalysisofchloroanilinesinindustrialwastewater.
1.Introduction:
Industrialactivities,suchaschemicalmanufacturingandpesticideproduction,generatesignificantamountsofwastewatercontainingchloroanilines.Thesecompoundscanentertheenvironmentandposesevereriskstoaquaticecosystemsandhumanhealth.Thus,efficientandreliableanalyticalmethodsareessentialtomonitorandcontroltheconcentrationofchloroanilinesinwastewater.
2.GasChromatographyTheory:
Gaschromatographyisawidelyusedanalyticaltechniquethatseparatesmixturesofvolatileandsemi-volatilecompoundsbasedontheirdifferencesinpartitioningbetweenastationaryphaseandamobilephase.Theprincipleofgaschromatographyinvolvestheinjectionofasampleintoatemperature-controlledcolumn,whereseparationoccursbasedonthecompound'svolatilityandaffinityforthestationaryphase.
3.SamplePreparation:
Beforegaschromatographyanalysis,itisessentialtopreparethesampleproperlytoremoveinterferencesandenhancetheanalyte'sconcentration.Commonsamplepreparationtechniquesforchloroanilineanalysisincludeliquid-liquidextraction,solid-phaseextraction,andderivatization.
