Abstract:
Horticulturaltherapyandrehabilitationgardenshavegainedattentionaseffectiveinterventionsforpromotingmentalandphysicalwell-being.ThispaperaimstoexploretheresearchlandscapeofdomestichorticulturaltherapyandrehabilitationgardensusingavisualizationanalysisbasedonCitespace.Bymappingthekeyresearchtopics,influentialauthors,andcollaborationnetworks,thisstudyprovidesanoverviewofthecurrentstateandfuturedevelopmentofthisfieldinChina.Thefindingshighlighttheimportanceofhorticulturaltherapyandrehabilitationgardensinpromotinghealthandwell-being,andsuggestpotentialareasforfurtherresearchanddevelopment.
1.Introduction:
Horticulturaltherapyisanemergingfieldthatutilizesplants,gardens,andotherhorticulturalactivitiestopromotephysicalandpsychologicalwell-being.Rehabilitationgardens,ontheotherhand,arespecificallydesignedenvironmentsthataimtoenhancetherecoveryprocessforindividualswithvariousphysicalormentaldisabilities.Inrecentyears,therehasbeenagrowinginterestindomesticresearchonhorticulturaltherapyandrehabilitationgardensinChina.However,acomprehensiveanalysisoftheresearchlandscapeanditstrendsislacking.ThisstudyaimstobridgethisgapbyemployingCitespace,awidely-usedtoolforvisualizingresearchlandscapes,toanalyzeandvisualizethekeyresearchareas,influentialauthors,andcollaborationnetworksinthisfield.
2.Methodology:
Citespaceisapowerfultoolforanalyzingscientificliteraturebygeneratingvisualizationsofco-citation,co-occurrence,andco-authorshipnetworks.Itenablesresearcherstoexploretheresearchlandscape,identifykeyresearchareas,anddetectemergingtrends.Inthisstudy,acomprehensiveliteraturereviewwasconductedusingrelevantdatabasesandkeywordsrelatedtohorticulturaltherapyandrehabilitationgardens.TheresultingdatasetwasimportedintoCitespaceforanalysis,andthevisualizationsweregeneratedbasedonco-citationandco-occurrencenetworks.
