Abstract：
Basedonthecontinuoussurveyofforestresourcesin2017,thispaperstudiestheplantdiversityoftypicalvegetationtypesinGuangdongProvince.Theresultsshowthatthespeciesrichnessanddiversityindexofeachvegetationtypearedifferent.Theprotectionandmanagementofbiodiversityintheregionshouldbestrengthenedtoensurethesustainabledevelopmentoflocalecologicalenvironment.
Introduction：
Plantdiversityisanimportantcomponentofbiodiversityandecologicalsystems.Itplaysakeyroleinmaintainingecosystemstabilityandprovidingvariousecologicalservices.Therefore,monitoringandstudyingplantdiversityhasbecomeoneoftheimportanttasksinbiodiversityresearch.GuangdongProvinceislocatedinthesouthernpartofChinaandhasadiversevegetationtype.However,intensivelanduseandurbanizationhavegreatlyaffectedthelocalecologicalenvironment,leadingtoadeclineinplantdiversity.Therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetostudytheplantdiversityoftypicalvegetationtypesinGuangdongProvince.
Materialsandmethods：
Inthisstudy,weconductedacontinuoussurveyofforestresourcesinGuangdongProvincein2017.Thestudyareacoverssixtypicalvegetationtypes:evergreenbroad-leavedforest,coniferousforest,mixedforest,bambooforest,shrubbery,andgrassland.Atotalof120sampleplotswereselected,andeachsampleplotcoveredanareaof1000squaremeters.Werecordedthespeciescompositionandabundanceofeachsampleplotandcalculatedthespeciesrichnessanddiversityindexofeachvegetationtype.
Results：
Theresultsshowedthattheplantdiversityofeachvegetationtypewasdifferent.Thespeciesrichnessanddiversityindexofevergreenbroad-leavedforestwerethehighest,followedbymixedforestandbambooforest.Thespeciesrichnessanddiversityindexofconiferousforestwererelativelylow,andthediversityindexofgrasslandwasthelowest.Thespeciescompositionofdifferentvegetationtypeswasalsodifferent.Evergreenbroad-leavedforestmainlyconsistedofFagaceae,Lauraceae,andTheaceae,whileconiferousforestmainlyconsistedofPinaceae.Mixedforestandbambooforesthadmorediversespeciescomposition,andshrubberyandgrasslandhadas
