1.Introduction
Withtherapiddevelopmentofairtransportation,ensuringthesafetyandefficiencyofairportoperationshasbecomeacriticalissue.Amongthevariousaspectsofairportinfrastructure,thenavigationalaidslightingplaysavitalroleinguidingaircraftduringlanding,takeoff,andtaxiing.However,traditionalmonitoringmethodsoftenrelyonmanualinspections,whicharetime-consumingandpronetohumanerror.Toaddressthesechallenges,thispaperproposesadesignforanonlinemonitoringsystemforairportnavigationalaidslightingbasedonZigBeewirelessnetworktechnology.
2.ZigBeeWirelessNetwork
ZigBeeisalow-power,short-rangewirelesscommunicationtechnologythathasbeenwidelyusedinvariousapplications.Itissuitableforenvironmentswithlowpowerconsumptionrequirementsandalargenumberofnodes.ZigBeeoperatesinthe2.4GHzfrequencybandandusessmalldatapackets,makingitidealformonitoringapplications.
3.SystemArchitecture
Theproposedsystemfollowsadistributedarchitecture,consistingofthreemaincomponents:sensornodes,gatewaynodes,andacentralmonitoringserver.
3.1SensorNodes
Sensornodesareresponsibleforcollectingdatafromthenavigationalaidslightingfixtures.Theyareequippedwithlightsensorstomeasuretheilluminationlevelsandcommunicatewirelesslywiththegatewaynodes.Eachsensornodeisassignedauniqueaddressforidentificationanddatatransmission.Thenodesoperateinlow-powersleepmodestoconserveenergyandextendbatterylife.
3.2GatewayNodes
Gatewaynodesactasintermediariesbetweenthesensornodesandthecentralmonitoringserver.Theyreceivedatafromthesensornodesandtransmitittotheserverthroughwiredorwirelessconnections.Thegatewaynodesalsoperformdataaggregationandpreprocessingtaskstoreducenetworkcongestionandimprovedataaccuracy.
3.3CentralMonitoringServer
Thecentralmonitoringserverisresponsibleforreceiving,storing,andanalyzingthedatafromthesensornodesthroughthegatewaynodes.Itprovidesauser-friendlyinterfaceforairportpersonneltomonitorthenavigational
