Abstract:
DCdistributionnetworkshavegainedsignificantattentionduetotheiradvantagesovertraditionalACsystems.However,efficientprotectioniscrucialtoensurethesafeandreliableoperationofthesenetworks.Faulttransientcurrentsprovidecrucialinformationfordetectingandisolatingfaultsinpowersystems.ThispaperproposestheutilizationofthePearsoncorrelationcoefficienttoenhancetheaccuracyandefficiencyoffaultdetectionandisolationinDCdistributionnetworks.Theuseofthisstatisticalmeasurementenablesthedetectionofthepresenceofafaultbyanalyzingthecorrelationbetweenthemeasuredcurrentanditsexpectedvalueduringfaultconditions.Thepaperdiscussesthetheoreticalfoundation,implementationmethodologies,andthepotentialbenefitsofthisapproachinDCdistributionnetworkprotection.
1.Introduction
