InordertodeterminethecorrelationbetweencorneardevelopmentandNDVI,theNDVIvaluesweremeasuredattwodifferentgrowthstagesduringthecorngrowthperiod,andtheearyieldinthesampleareawasrecordedatthesametime.TheresultsshowedthattherewasnoobviouscorrelationbetweenNDVIandcornearyieldintheearlyperiodofcornmaturity,whileahighlypositivecorrelationbetweenNDVIandcornearyieldwasobservedinthelaterperiodofmaturity.ThisindicatesthatNDVIisnotsuitableasaestimatedindicatorofcornearyieldintheearlyperiodofcornmaturity,whilechangesinNDVIvaluescanreflectthedevelopmentofcornearinthelaterperiodofmaturity. Inthisexperiment,cornearrecognitionwassuccessfullycompletedbyconvertinggrayscaleimagestobinaryimages.Inaddition,amodelofcornearandNDVIvalueswasestablishedtoassesstheprogressofeardevelopment.Usingthismodel,wesuccessfullyestimatedtheyieldofcorninthesamplearea,andtheresultsshowedthattheNDVI-basedmodelcaneffectivelypredicttheyieldofcornandprovideimportantreferencefordeterminingappropriatemanagementmeasures. Inconclusion,NDVIisareliableindicatorforestimatingcornearyield,especiallyinthelaterperiodofcornmaturity.BymonitoringthechangesinNDVIvaluesduetogrowthstages,wecanbettergraspthegrowthofcropsandimprovetheeffici
