Introduction: Dissolvedoxygenconcentrationisacriticalparameterintheaquaticecosystemasitplaysasignificantroleinthesurvivalandmetabolismofaquaticorganisms.DOconcentrationaffectsvariousparameterssuchaswatercirculationandnutrientcyclinginaquaticecosystems.TheassessmentofDOconcentration,therefore,isimportantinecologicalresearch,waterqualityanalysis,andenvironmentalmonitoring.Inaquaticenvironments,DOconcentrationcanbeaffectedbyvariousfactorssuchastemperature,pressure,andsalinity.Thus,itiscrucialtomeasureDOconcentrationaccuratelyandrapidlyinreal-timetoaddressvariousenvironmentalissues,suchashypoxia,eutrophication,andharmfulalgalblooms.SeveralconventionalmethodshavebeenusedforDOmeasurement.However,thesemethodshavesomelimitationssuchastheirversatilityandsensitivity.Hence,thereisaneedtodevelopmorerobustandefficientmethodsthatcanprovidereliableandaccuratedata. Time-resolvedfluorescencelifetime-basedmethodshavebeenwidelyusedtodetermineDOconcentrationinwaterenvironments.Theprinciplebehindthistechniqueissimpleandinvolvesmeasuringthefluorescencelifetimeofanopticalprobeexcitedbyalightsource.ThefluorescencelifetimeoftheprobeissensitivetoDOconcentration,andhencethedeterminationofDOconcentrationisbasedonchangesinfluorescencelifetime.Thisapproachisnon-invasiveanddoesnotrequirephysicalcontactwiththesam
