Introduction: Airconditioningsystemsarecommonlyusedinindoorenvironmentstoregulatethetemperatureandcreatecomfortablesurroundings.However,airconditionersconsumeaconsiderableamountofenergy,accountingforasignificantpercentageofbuildings'energyconsumption.Accordingtoresearch,airconditioningaccountedfor10%ofglobalenergyconsumptionin2018(InternationalEnergyAgency,2019).Therefore,itisessentialtodevelopaccurateenergyconsumptionpredictionmodelstoreduceenergyconsumptionandprotecttheenvironment. Manyvariablesinfluenceenergyconsumptioninairconditioningsystems,suchasoutdoortemperature,roomoccupancy,anduserpreferencefortemperaturesettings.Therefore,accuratepredictionmodelsrequirecomprehensivedatacollectionandanalysisofalltheinfluencingfactors.Inthisstudy,weproposeamodelbasedonmonitoringdataofroomairconditionerusageandthesettemperaturetopredictenergyconsumption. Methodology: DataCollection: Wecollecteddatafromaresidentialbuildinginametropolitanarea,usingthebuildingmanagementsystemthatrecordstheenergyconsumptionandtemperaturesettingsofairconditionersinthebuilding.Thedataincludeddailysettemperature,hourlyenergyconsumption,androomoccupancyinformation.
