Abstract
WiththerapiddevelopmentoftheInternetofThings(IoT),smarthomesystemshavegainedpopularityinrecentyears.ThefocusofthisresearchisonthedesignandimplementationofaZigBee-basedsmartfirealarmsystemforhomes.Thispaperpresentsthevariouscomponentsandtechnologiesusedinthesystem,includingsensors,ZigBeewirelesscommunication,andacentralcontrolunit.Theproposedsystemaimstoprovideeffectivefiredetectionandpreventioninhouseholds,ensuringthesafetyofresidentsandminimizingpotentialfire-relateddamages.Thedesignprocess,systemarchitecture,andexperimentalresultsarediscussedindetail.
1.Introduction
Theincreasingnumberoffireaccidentsinhomeshighlightstheneedforadvancedfirealarmsystems.Traditionalfirealarmsystemslackintelligentcapabilitiesandareoftenlimitedtobasicsmokedetection.ThisresearchaimstoaddresstheselimitationsthroughtheuseofZigBeetechnology,whichofferslow-powerconsumption,low-cost,andwirelesscommunicationcapabilities.Byintegratingavarietyofsensors,theproposedsystemcandetectvariousfire-relatedparametersandprovideearlywarningstoresidents.Thispaperdetailsthedesignandimplementationofthissmartfirealarmsystem.
2.SystemArchitecture
