Abstract:
Inmodernindustrialprocesses,accurateandreliablemonitoringandcontrolsystemsplayacrucialrole.Oneessentialcomponentofsuchsystemsistheinterfacebetweensensorsanddataacquisitionmodules.Thispaperproposesanddiscussesamethodforadaptinga0-20mAtransmittertoa4-20mAdataacquisitionmodule,allowingforefficientandaccuratemeasurementandcontrolinindustrialapplications.
1.Introduction:
Inindustrialprocesses,sensorsandtransmittersarecommonlyusedtomeasurevariousphysicalparameterssuchastemperature,pressure,level,andflow.Thesesensorstypicallyoutputsignalsincurrentform,with0-20mAand4-20mAbeingthemostcommonranges.However,dataacquisitionmodulesoftenoperateona4-20mAinputrange,makingitnecessarytoadapt0-20mAtransmitterstoensureseamlessintegrationandcompatibility.
2.Background:
The4-20mAcurrentloopiswidelyusedinindustrialapplicationsduetoitsreliability,noiseimmunity,easeofintegration,andscalability.The4mAlowerlimitensuresthatthesignalcanbedistinguishedfromzerocurrentorabrokenwire,whilethe20mAupperlimitallowsforadditionalinformationandhigheraccuracy.Ontheotherhand,the0-20mArangeisalsocommonlyusedincertainapplications,particularlyforlow-endtransmittersorolderequipmentthatoperatesonthisspecificrange.
3.Methodology:
