Abstract:
Inrecentyears,emergencymanagementhasbecomeanintegralpartofmodernsocietyduetotheincreasingfrequencyandintensityofnaturalandman-madedisasters.Toeffectivelyrespondtoandmitigatetheseemergencies,acomprehensiveandefficientcommunicationandinformationmanagementsystemiscrucial.ThispaperpresentsadesignproposalforaCommonInformationModel(CIM)applicationplatforminemergencymanagement,whichaimstoenhancecommunication,coordination,andinformationsharingamongvariousstakeholdersduringemergencies.
Introduction:
Emergencymanagementinvolvesacoordinatedeffortamongmultipleorganizationsandindividualstoprevent,preparefor,respondto,andrecoverfromadisasteroremergencysituation.Effectivemanagementoftheseemergenciesrequirestimelyandaccuratecommunicationandinformationsharingamongstakeholders,includingemergencyresponseteams,publicagencies,healthcareproviders,andthegeneralpublic.TheCIMapplicationplatformisdesignedtoaddresstheseneedsbyprovidingaunifiedframeworkfordataintegration,informationsharing,anddecision-makingduringemergencysituations.
DesignObjectives:
1.DataIntegration:TheCIMapplicationplatformwillintegratedatafromvarioussources,includingsensornetworks,socialmedia,andpublicsafetyagencies.Thisintegrationwillallowforreal-timemonitoringofthesituation,enablingquickandinformeddecision-making.
2.InformationSharing:Theplatformwillprovideacentralizedrepositoryforstoringandsharingemergency-relatedinformationsuchasincidentreports,resourceinventories,andresponseplans.Thiswillensurethatallstakeholdershaveaccesstothemostup-to-dateinformationandcancollaborateeffectively.
3.CommunicationandCollaboration:Theplatformwillfacilitatecommunicationandcollaborationamongemergencyresponseteams,agencies,andthepublic.Itwillsupportfeaturessuchasinstantmessaging,videoconferencing,andtaskmanagementtoenableefficientcoordinationandinformationexchange.
