Abstract:
Inmoderncontrolsystems,theinterferenceisacommonproblemthataffectstheworkingstabilityandreliabilityofthecontrolsystems.Interferencecanbedefinedasanyunwantedsignalthatinterfereswiththedesiredsignalsinthecontrolsystem.Theimpactofinterferencecouldbevarying,anditdependsonthetypeofinterferenceandthecontrolsystem.Inthispaper,wediscusstheimpactofinterferenceonthecontrolsystems,thetypesofinterference,andtheireffectsonthecontrolsystems.
Introduction:
Controlsystemsarewidelyusedinindustrial,automation,androboticsapplications.Theprimarypurposeofacontrolsystemistoregulatethebehaviorofthesystem.However,manyfactorscaninterferewiththecontrolsystem,affectingitsperformanceandstability.Interferencecanbedefinedasanyunwantedsignalthatdisruptstheintendedsignalinthecontrolsystem.Theimpactofinterferencecouldbesignificant,dependingonthetypeofinterferenceandthecontrolsystem.
TypesofInterference:
Interferencecanoccurduetovariousfactors,includingelectromagneticinterference,physicalinterference,andenvironmentalinterference.Thefollowingaresomeoftheprimarytypesofinterference:
1.ElectromagneticInterference(EMI):
EMIisthemostcommontypeofinterferenceincontrolsystems.Itiscausedbytheelectromagneticwavesgeneratedbyelectricaldevicesorappliances.Electromagneticwavescaninterferewiththesignalsinthecontrolsystem,leadingtoperformancedegradationorevensystemshutdown.ThesourcesofEMIincludepowerlines,motors,generators,lighting,radiotransmitters,andotherelectricaldevices.
2.PhysicalInterference:
Physicalinterferenceiscausedbyphysicalfactorsthataffectthecontrolsystem'sperformance.Examplesofphysicalinterferenceincludefriction,temperature,vibration,andshock.Physicalinterferencecanresultinmechanicalwearandtear,leadingtounstableorunpredictablebehaviorofthecontrolsystem.
