Abstract
Inthispaper,weinvestigatethecalibrationandcalculationmethodsforthecontact-typeR-testmeasuringinstrument.TheR-testisacommonlyusedtoolformeasuringtheroundnessandotherdimensionalcharacteristicsofobjects.However,accuratemeasurementrequirespropercalibrationandcalculationofthemeasurementdata.Therefore,westudiedthemethodsforcalibratingtheinstrumentandcalculatingthecentercoordinatesofthesphericalobjects.Weperformedexperimentstoverifytheeffectivenessoftheproposedmethods,andtheresultsshowedthattheproposedmethodsareaccurateandreliable.

Introduction
TheR-testisacontact-typemeasuringinstrumentusedformeasuringthedimensionalcharacteristicsofobjects,especiallytheroundnessofcylindricalandsphericalobjects.Inthemanufacturingindustry,itiswidelyusedforqualitycontrolandmeasurementofvariousmaterialsandproducts.TheR-testconsistsofaspring-loadedprobethatismovedalongthesurfaceoftheobjectbeingmeasured.Theprobetouchesthesurfaceatdifferentpointsalongitspath,andthedisplacementoftheprobefromareferencepositionismeasuredasafunctionofangularrotation.Theresultingdataisusedtocalculatetheroundnessandotherdimensionalcharacteristicsoftheobject.
Propercalibrationandcalculationofthemeasurementdataareessentialforaccurateandreliableresults.Thecalibrationensuresthattheinstrumentisaccurateandcorrectlycalibratedtothestandard.Thecalculationofthemeasurementdatarequiresthedeterminationofthecentercoordinatesofthesphericalobjectbeingmeasured.Inthispaper,weinvestigatethecalibrationandcalculationmethodsforthecontact-typeR-testmeasuringinstrument.
