热脱附-气相色谱-质谱法筛查分析溶剂型涂料中挥发性有机化合物 Introduction Solvent-basedcoatingsarewidelyusedfortheirexcellentperformanceindiverseapplicationsincludingautomotive,aerospace,andindustrialcoatings.However,thevolatileorganiccompounds(VOCs)emittedbysolvent-basedcoatingsposeasignificantthreattohumanhealthandtheenvironment.Therefore,reliableandsensitiveanalyticalmethodsarerequiredforthequantificationandidentificationofVOCsinsolvent-basedcoatings.Inthisregard,thermaldesorption-gaschromatography-massspectrometry(TD-GC-MS)hasemergedasapowerfultoolforthescreeningandcharacterizationofVOCsinsolvent-basedcoatings.Thispaperaimstodiscusstheprinciples,methodologyandapplicationsofTD-GC-MSforVOCsanalysisinsolvent-basedcoatings. Principles TD-GC-MSinvolvesthefollowingsteps: 1.Thermaldesorption:Thesolvent-basedcoatingsampleisthermallydesorbedinafurnaceoratubularovenundercontrolledtemperatureandpressureconditions.TheligandsdesorbfromthecoatingmaterialmatrixandpassthroughatransferlinetotheGC-MSanalyticalsystem. 2.Gaschromatography:ThedesorbedVOCsareseparatedusinggaschromatography(GC)basedontheirphysicochemicalpropertiessuchasboilingpoint,polarity,andmolecularsize.TheGCcolumniseitherpackedorcapillary,andthemobilephaseisagassuchasheliumornitrogen. 3.Massspectrometry:TheseparatedVOCsareionizedandfragmentedinamassspectrometer(MS),whichgeneratesamassspectrarepresentingthemolecularionsandthefragments.ThemassspectraarecomparedtoaspectrallibrarytoidentifytheVOCs. Methodology TheTD-GC-MSmethodologyinvolvesthefollowingsteps: 1.SelectionofasuitableTDsystem:TheTDsystemisselectedbasedonthesamplesize,theVOCsofinterest,andthesensitivityrequired.TheTDsystemscanbebasedoneitheradsorptionorabsorptionmedia. 2.Samplepreparation:Thesolvent-basedcoatingsampleishomogenizedandweighed,andthecoatingmatrixcanberemovedbysolidphasemicroextraction(SPME)orheadspacesampling.ThesampleisthenloadedintoaTDtubeorcartridge,whichisinsertedintheTDsystem. 3.Desorptionconditionsoptimization:Thedesorptiontemperature,durationandflowrateareoptimize
