Abstract
Thelogisticsindustryhasbeenplayingasignificantroleintheglobalmarketovertheyears.Asitcontinuestogrow,therehasbeenanincreasingneedforanewandimprovedwaytoevaluateitscontributiontotheeconomy.ThispaperaimstoprovideanewmodelforevaluatinglogisticsindustryGDPanditsapplication.Thenewmodelcomprisesthreevariables:logisticsindustryvalue-added,logisticsindustryfactorincome,andlogisticsindustryconsumption.ThemodelistestedusingdatafromtheUnitedStatesovertheperiod2010-2019,andtheresultsshowthatthelogisticsindustry'scontributiontoGDPishigherthanwhatiscurrentlyestimated.Themodelcanbeappliedtoothercountriesandregionstoevaluatetheirlogisticsindustry'scontributiontoGDPaccurately.
Introduction
Thelogisticsindustryhaswitnessedsignificantgrowthinrecentyears,makingitoneofthemostvitalsectorsoftheeconomy.Itscontributionsgobeyondjustthetransportationandstorageofgoods;italsoincludesactivitiessuchasinventorymanagement,orderprocessing,andsupplychaincoordination.Thelogisticsindustry'simportancetotheeconomyhasmadeitnecessarytoevaluateaccuratelyitscontributiontotheGrossDomesticProduct(GDP).
However,thetraditionalapproachusedtoevaluatethelogisticsindustry'scontributiontoGDPhasitslimitations.Thisapproachreliesheavilyonstatisticsfromtransportationindustries,whichdonotcapturetheentirelogisticsvaluechain.Thiscreatesagapinaccuratelyestimatingthelogisticsindustry'scontributiontoGDP,whichcanleadtolessoptimalpolicydecisions.
Therefore,thispaperproposesanewmodelforevaluatinglogisticsindustryGDPanditsapplication.Themodelwilladdressthelimitationsofthetraditionalapproachbyincludingthefullrangeoflogisticssectoractivities.

Thenewmodelproposedinthispapercomprisesthreevariablesthatcapturethefullrangeoflogisticssectoractivities.Thesevariablesare:
