Abstract:
Thispaperpresentsacomprehensivereviewofthesemi-implicittechniquesusedinsolvinghydrodynamicproblemsinoceanengineering.Hydrodynamicsplaysacrucialroleinunderstandingandpredictingthebehaviorofwaterbodiesandtheirimpactonmarinestructures.Thesemi-implicitapproach,whichcombinesexplicitandimplicitnumericalschemes,hasgainedpopularityduetoitsabilitytohandlecomplexfluidflowsencounteredinoceanengineering.Thisreviewprovidesanoverviewofthesemi-implicittechniquesused,theiradvantagesandlimitations,andtheirapplicationsinsolvingvarioushydrodynamicproblemsinoceanengineering.
Introduction:
Oceanengineeringinvolvesthedesignandanalysisofstructuresandsystemsinamarineenvironment,wheretheunderstandingoffluidflowdynamicsisvital.Hydrodynamicproblemsinoceanengineeringencompasswave-structureinteractions,fluid-structureinteractions,andsedimenttransport,amongothers.Theaccuratepredictionofthesehydrodynamicphenomenarequiresadvancednumericaltechniquesthatcanhandlethecomplexnatureoffluidflowsinoceans.Thesemi-implicitapproachhasemergedasapopularnumericalmethodduetoitsabilitytohandlenon-linearandtime-dependentbehavior.
Semi-implicitTechniques:
