Introduction:
Chinahasexperiencedrapidurbanizationinrecentyears,withanincreasingnumberofpeoplemovingfromruralareastocitiesinsearchofbetteropportunities.Urbanizationplaysacrucialroleintheeconomicdevelopmentandsocialtransformationofacountry.Therefore,understandingtheimpactofeconomicdecentralization,specificallyfiscalandfinancialdecentralization,onurbanizationisofgreatimportance.ThispaperaimstoexploretherelationshipbetweeneconomicdecentralizationandurbanizationinChina.
I.TheConceptofEconomicDecentralization:
A.FiscalDecentralization:Fiscaldecentralizationreferstothetransferofpower,responsibility,andfinancialresourcesfromthecentralgovernmenttolowerlevelsofgovernment,suchasprovincialandlocalgovernments,inordertobetterallocateresourcesandpromoteregionaldevelopment.
B.FinancialDecentralization:Financialdecentralizationreferstothedevolutionoffinancialdecision-makingpowerfromcentralfinancialauthoritiestoregionalandlocalfinancialinstitutions,allowingthemtohavemorecontrolovertheirfinancialresourcesandinvestments.
