Abstract:
Janusmaterialswithasymmetricwettingpropertieshaveattractedsignificantattentionduetotheiruniquepropertiesandpotentialapplicationsinvariousfields,includingself-cleaningtextiles,oil-waterseparation,andmicrofluidicdevices.ThispaperfocusesonthestudyofplasmagraftpolymerizationforthepreparationofasymmetricwettingJanuscottonfabric.Theprocessinvolvesthesurfacemodificationofcottonfabricusingaplasmatreatmentandsubsequentgraftingofhydrophilicandhydrophobicpolymersondifferentsidesofthefabric.ThewettingpropertiesoftheJanusfabricareevaluatedthroughcontactanglemeasurements,water/oilrepellencytests,andwater/oilseparationexperiments.

1.Introduction
Asymmetricwettingmaterials,suchasJanusfabrics,havegainedsignificantattentioninrecentyearsduetotheiruniquepropertiesandpotentialapplications.Janusfabricsarecharacterizedbyhavingdifferentwettingpropertiesondifferentsidesofthefabric,allowingforselectivewettingorrepellingofcertainliquids.Thispropertycanbeachievedthroughthemodificationoffabricsurfacesusingvarioustechniques,includingplasmagraftpolymerization.Cottonfabric,withitsinherenthydrophilicity,isanidealsubstrateforthistypeofmodification.
2.ExperimentalMethods

Cottonfabricsampleswerepreparedbycuttingthefabricintoappropriatesizes.Thefabricwasthensubjectedtoaplasmatreatmenttoactivatethesurfaceandcreatereactivesitesforpolymergrafting.
