Abstract:
TheaccuratemeasurementofinstantaneousvelocityiscrucialforawiderangeofapplicationsinthefieldofGlobalNavigationSatelliteSystems(GNSS).ThispaperpresentsamethodthatcombinesTime-DifferenceCarrierPhase(TDCP)andDopplertechniquestoimprovetheaccuracyofGNSSinstantaneousvelocitymeasurement.TheTDCPtechniqueprovideshighprecisionpositioningbutsuffersfromambiguityinthecarrierphasemeasurements.TheDopplertechnique,ontheotherhand,providesvelocityinformationbutlacksthenecessaryaccuracyforprecisepositioning.Bycombiningthestrengthsofthesetwomethods,weaimtoovercometheirindividuallimitationsandenhancetheoverallaccuracyoftheinstantaneousvelocityestimationusingGNSS.
1.Introduction:
GlobalNavigationSatelliteSystems(GNSS)havebecomeessentialinnumerousapplicationsrangingfromnavigationandsurveyingtoaviationandtransportation.Accuratemeasurementofinstantaneousvelocityiscrucialfortheseapplications,andthedevelopmentofmethodstoenhancetheaccuracyofvelocitymeasurementisanactiveresearcharea.ThispaperproposesamethodthatcombinesTDCPandDopplertechniquestoachievehighlyaccurateGNSSinstantaneousvelocitymeasurement.
2.TDCPandDopplerTechniques:
2.1Time-DifferenceCarrierPhase(TDCP):
TheTDCPtechniqueiswidelyusedforhigh-precisionGNSSpositioning.ItutilizesthedifferencesincarrierphasemeasurementsfrommultipleGNSSsatellitestodetermineaccuratepositions.However,TDCPsuffersfromtheintegerambiguityproblem,whichintroducesuncertaintiesinthecarrierphasemeasurements,resultinginreducedaccuracyinvelocityestimation.
2.2DopplerTechnique:
TheDopplertechniqueprovidesvelocityinformationbymeasuringthefrequencyshiftofGNSSsignalscausedbytherelativemotionbetweenthereceiverandsatellites.Itisadirectmethodforvelocityestimation,butitlacksthenecessaryaccuracyforprecisepositioningduetovariouserrorsourcessuchasmultipathandatmosphericeffects.
