Abstract:
Plasmacontactorsarewidelyusedinspacepropulsionsystemstoneutralizespacecraftchargeaccumulationandmitigatetheriskofelectricaldischarges.Understandingthedischargeoscillationsandanalyzingtheirfrequencyspectraiscrucialfordesigningandoptimizingtheperformanceofplasmacontactors.Thispaperaimstoinvestigatethespectrumanalysisofdischargeoscillationsinplasmacontactors,highlightingtheunderlyingphysicsandpotentialimplicationsforspaceapplications.
1.Introduction:
Plasmacontactorsplayavitalroleinmitigatingtheeffectsofspacecraftcharging.Theyprovideameanstoneutralizeaccumulatedchargesbyemittingacontrolledflowofplasmaionsintothesurroundingspaceenvironment.Thebehaviorofdischargeoscillationsinthesecontactorsisessentialfortheireffectiveoperation.Thispaperexploresthefrequencyspectraoftheseoscillationsandtheirimplicationsforplasmacontactordesign.
