Thepresenceofpesticideresiduesinfoodhasraisedconcernsoverfoodsafetyandhumanhealth.Onesuchresidualcompoundis4,4’-Dinitrocarbanilide(DNC).Thispaperaimstocomparethepre-treatmentmethodsforthedeterminationofresidualDNCinfood.Thevariouspre-treatmentmethodsdiscussedincludeextractiontechniques,clean-upmethods,anddetectiontechniques.Thepaperconcludesbyhighlightingtheimportanceofthesepre-treatmentmethodsinensuringaccurateanalysisofDNCresiduesinfoodsamples.
Introduction:
Theuseofpesticidesinagricultureiscrucialtoprotectcropsfrompestsanddiseases.However,theresiduesofthesepesticidescanpersistonfoodproducts,leadingtopotentialhealthrisksforconsumers.4,4’-Dinitrocarbanilide(DNC)isonesuchpesticidecompoundthatiswidelyusedinthecontrolofpests.
