Introduction: High-speedcatamaranshavegainedsignificantattentioninrecentyearsduetotheirstability,efficiency,andversatility.However,theuniquenatureoftheirdesignposeschallengesintermsofunderstandingandmitigatingtheaerodynamicandhydrodynamiceffectsonthesevessels.Thisstudyaimstobridgethisknowledgegapbyconductingbothnumericalsimulationsandexperimentalteststocomprehensivelyanalyzetheseeffectsandtheirimplicationsontheperformanceofhigh-speedcatamaransincalmwaterconditions. NumericalSimulation: Thenumericalsimulationisconductedusingcomputationalfluiddynamics(CFD)software,whichusesNavier-Stokesequationstomodelthefluidflowaroundthecatamaranhulls.Thissimulationallowsustounderstandtheflowcharacteristics,pressuredistribution,anddragforcesonthevessel.Theeffectsofvariousparameters,suchashullshape,speed,andangleofattack,areinvestigatedthroughparametricstudies. ExperimentalTesting: Experimentaltestingiscarriedoutusingascaled-downmodelofthecatamaraninacontrolledenvironment,suchasatowingtankorawindtunnel.Thisallowsustophysicallyobserveandmeasuretheaerodynamicandhydrodynamicforcesonthemodel.Instrumentation,suchasforcesensorsandpressuretransducers,isusedtoquantifytheseforcesaccurately.Theresultsfromtheexperimentsarecomparedwiththenumericalsimulationdata,providingavalidationofthesimulationapproach.
