Introduction:
Inrecentyears,therapiddevelopmentoftheintegratedcircuit(IC)industryhasincreasedthedemandforprofessionalswithexpertiseinICdesign.Asaresult,itiscrucialtoexploreandestablisheffectivetrainingschemesforundergraduatetalentsinthefieldofICdesign.Thispaperaimstodiscussandproposeacomprehensivetrainingprogramfornurturingundergraduatetalentsintheintegratedcircuitdesigndiscipline.
1.UnderstandingtheICDesignDiscipline:
ThefirststepindesigninganeffectivetrainingprogramisunderstandingtheICdesigndiscipline.ICdesigninvolvesthecreationanddevelopmentofelectroniccircuitsthatareintegratedintosmallsemiconductorchips.Thisdisciplineencompassesvarioussub-disciplines,suchasanalogdesign,digitaldesign,andmixed-signaldesign.Itisimportantforundergraduatestudentstohaveafundamentalunderstandingoftheseareasandtheirapplications.
2.CurriculumDevelopment:
