Introduction:
Inrecentyears,theglobaltextileindustryhasexperiencedrapidchangesduetoadvancementsintechnology,changesinconsumerpreferences,andtheemergenceofnewmarkets.Asaresult,ithasbecomeimperativeforhighereducationinstitutionsofferingtextileprogramstoaligntheircurriculumwithindustrydemands.Inparticular,theneedforEnglishlanguageproficiencyhasbecomeincreasinglyimportantfortextileprofessionalstoeffectivelycommunicateandcollaborateintheinternationalmarket.Therefore,thispaperaimstoexplorethereformofEnglishcurriculumintextilemajorsathighereducationinstitutions.
1.SignificanceofEnglishintheTextileIndustry:
Englishlanguageproficiencyplaysavitalroleinthetextileindustryforseveralreasons.Firstly,itenableseffectivecommunicationininternationaltrade,includingnegotiations,customerservice,andcollaborations.Secondly,Englishisthepredominantlanguageinscientificresearchandpublications,allowingtextileprofessionalstostayupdatedwiththelatestindustrydevelopments.Lastly,withaproficientcommandofEnglish,textilegraduatescanincreasetheiremployabilitybyappealingtomultinationalcompaniesandexpandingtheircareeropportunities.
2.CurrentChallengesinEnglishCurriculum:
