Abstract:
InthecontextoftheInternetofThings(IoT),manufacturingsystemshavebecomemoreinterconnectedandintelligent.Toimprovetheefficiencyandflexibilityofproduction,theflexibleflowshopschedulingproblemwithbatchflowintheIoTenvironmenthasattractedsignificantattention.Thispaperaimstoinvestigateandanalyzethechallengesandpotentialsolutionsforschedulinginsuchenvironments.Aliteraturereviewisconductedtoexaminetheexistingresearchonthetopic.Additionally,acasestudyispresentedtoillustratetheapplicationandeffectivenessoftheproposedsolutions.
1.Introduction
Withtheadvancementoftechnology,theIoThasbeenintegratedintovariousindustries,includingmanufacturing.TheIoTenablesseamlessconnectivitybetweenmachines,equipment,andsystems,resultinginamoreintelligentandefficientproductionenvironment.However,theintegrationoftheIoTinmanufacturingalsointroducesnewchallenges,oneofwhichistheschedulingprobleminaflexibleflowshopwithbatchflow.
2.LiteratureReview
Inthissection,wereviewtheexistingresearchontheschedulingprobleminaflexibleflowshopwithbatchflowintheIoTenvironment.Variousoptimizationalgorithms,suchasgeneticalgorithms,particleswarmoptimization,andantcolonyoptimization,havebeenappliedtosolvethisproblem.Theobjectivesoftheschedulingproblemincludeminimizingmakespan,maximizingresourceutilization,andreducingenergyconsumption.Additionally,somestudieshavefocusedonoptimizingmulti-objectivefunctionstoachieveabalancebetweendifferentobjectives.
3.ProblemFormulation
Basedontheliteraturereview,weformulatetheschedulingproblemofaflexibleflowshopwithbatchflowintheIoTenvironment.Theproblemconsidersvariousconstraints,suchasmachineavailability,setuptime,andbatchprocessingrequirements.Theobjectiveistominimizethemakespanwhilemaximizingresourceutilization.Mathematicalmodelsandoptimizationalgorithmsarediscussedindetailinthissection.
