Abstract
Withtherapiddevelopmentofhigh-speedrailwaytechnology,thekeyequipmentofhigh-speedrailwaylocomotivesandvehicleshasbecomecrucialinensuringthesafety,stability,andefficiencyoftherailwaysystem.Thispaperwillanalyzeanddiscussthevariouscriticaltechnologiesusedinhigh-speedrailwaylocomotivesandvehicles,includingthepropulsionsystem,controlsystem,safetysystem,andbrakingsystem.Inparticular,thepaperwillfocusonrecentdevelopmentsandinnovationsintheseareas,highlightingtheirimportanceandcontributiontotheimprovementofhigh-speedrailtransportation.
Introduction
High-speedrailwaylocomotivesandvehiclesarethebackboneofhigh-speedrailtransportationsystems.Asthespeedofhigh-speedtrainshasincreasedsignificantly,thetechnologyusedinlocomotivesandvehicleshasbecomeincreasinglycomplexandsophisticated.Inordertoensurethesafety,comfort,andefficiencyofhigh-speedtrains,numerouscriticaltechnologieshavebeendevelopedandimplementedinrecentyears.
PropulsionSystem
Thepropulsionsystemisakeycomponentofhigh-speedrailwaylocomotivesandvehicles.Currently,therearetwomaintypesofpropulsionsystemsusedinhigh-speedtrains:electricanddiesel-electric.Electricpropulsionsystemsaremainlyusedinhigh-speedtrainsthatrunonelectrifiedtracks,whilediesel-electricsystemsareusedintrainsthatoperateinnon-electrifiedregions.
Inanelectricpropulsionsystem,thelocomotiveorvehicleobtainsitspowerfromtheoverheadwireorthirdrail.Thepoweristhensenttothemotorthroughaconverter,whichconvertstheDCpowertoACpower.Themotorthendrivesthewheelstomovethetrain.Thissystemismoreefficientandenvironmentallyfriendlythandiesel-electricsystems,asitdoesnotproduceanyharmfulemissions.
Inadiesel-electricsystem,adieselenginegenerateselectricity,whichisusedtopowerthemotorthatdrivesthewheels.Thissystemiscommonlyusedinhigh-speedtrainsthatoperateinnon-electrifiedregions,whereoverheadwiresorthirdrailsarenotavailable.Itislessefficientandproducesmoreemissionsthanelectricpropulsionsystems,butitallowstrainstooperateinareaswhereelectrificationisnotpractical.
