Introduction:
Thedevelopmentandadvancementoftechnologyhaveledtotheincreasingdemandforhigh-precisionandstablenavigationsystems.Gyroscopesplayacrucialroleinnavigationbyprovidingaccurateorientationandrotationrateinformation.Amongthevarioustypesofgyroscopes,theHelium-Neon(HeNe)lasergyroscopehasgainedsignificantattentionduetoitsexcellentperformanceintermsofstability,sensitivity,andreliability.ThispaperaimstopresentasimulationstudyonthegasdischargecharacteristicsoftheHeNelasergyroscope.
1.BriefOverviewofHeNeLaserGyroscope:
TheHeNelasergyroscopeoperatesbasedontheSagnaceffect,whichstatesthatwhenabeamoflightissplitandtravelsalongtwoseparatepaths,anyrotationofthesystemwillcauseaphasedifferencebetweenthetwobeams.Thisphasedifferencecanbemeasuredtodeterminetherotationrate.
2.GasDischargeinHeNeLaserGyroscope:
