TheadventofIPv6hasbroughtaboutsignificantimprovementsinvariousaspectsofnetworking,includingQualityofService(QoS)controlstrategies.ThispaperexaminestheapplicationofIPv6inQoScontrolstrategies,exploringtheadvantagesitoffersanddiscussingthechallengesthatariseinitsimplementation.ThepaperalsoprovidesinsightsintothepotentialfuturedevelopmentsinIPv6-basedQoScontrolstrategies.
Introduction:
IPv6,thesixthversionoftheInternetProtocol,wasdesignedtoovercomethelimitationsofIPv4,particularlytheaddressexhaustionissue.Inadditiontoaddressingthisissue,IPv6introducesseveralenhancementsthathaveaprofoundimpactonQoScontrolstrategies.QoScontrolreferstotheabilitytoprioritize,manage,andallocatenetworkresourceseffectivelytomeetthediverserequirementsofdifferentapplicationsandservices.TheadvancementsinIPv6contributetodeliveringimprovedQoSlevelscomparedtoitspredecessor,IPv4.
