Abstract:
TheDigitalElevationModel(DEM)resolutionplaysacriticalroleinaccuratelysimulatinghydrologicalprocessesusingtheTOPMODEL(topography-basedhydrologicalmodel)approach.ThisstudyaimstoinvestigatetheinfluenceofDEMresolutionontheprecisionofTOPMODELsimulationsforwaterresourcemanagement.Weconductedathoroughanalysis,comparingdifferentDEMresolutionsandtheirimpactonmodelaccuracy.TheresultsindicateasignificantcorrelationbetweenDEMresolutionandtheaccuracyofTOPMODELsimulations.ThesefindingshighlighttheimportanceofcarefullyselectinganappropriateDEMresolutioninhydrologicalresearch.
