Introduction: TheCTBcoldshroudinITERisacylindricalstructurecomposedofasupportframe,thermalshields,andcoolantchannels.Itsprimaryfunctionsaretoprovidemechanicalsupportforthereactorandtoprotectthesurroundingenvironmentfromtheextremelyhightemperaturesgeneratedduringthefusionreaction.Thesuccessfuloperationofthecoldshroudreliesonbothitsstructuralintegrityandtheefficienttransferofheat.
