Abstract:
Three-dimensional(3D)weavefabricshavegainedsignificantattentioninvariousindustriesduetotheiruniquepropertiesandapplications.Accuratemeasurementofsurfaceparametersisacrucialstepinunderstandingthestructuralcharacteristicsandperformanceof3Dweavefabrics.Inthispaper,weproposeanautomatedsurfaceparametermeasurementmethodfor3Dweavefabrics.Themethodleveragescomputervisiontechniquestocaptureandanalyzethesurfacefeatures,enablingefficientandnon-destructivemeasurements.Experimentalresultsdemonstratetheeffectivenessandaccuracyoftheproposedmethodinquantifyingsurfaceparametersof3Dweavefabrics.
1.Introduction
Three-dimensional(3D)weavefabricsareincreasinglyusedinindustriessuchasaerospace,automotive,andsportsduetotheirenhancedmechanicalproperties,heatinsulation,andmoisture-wickingabilities.Understandingthesurfaceparametersof3Dweavefabricsisimportantinevaluatingtheirperformanceandoptimizingtheirdesign.
2.RelatedWork
Previousstudieshaveemployedvarioustechniquestomeasuresurfaceparametersofweavefabrics,includingmanualmeasurementsandnon-destructivemethodssuchaslaserscanningandphotogrammetry.However,thesemethodsaretime-consuming,subjecttohumanerror,andmaynotcapturetheintricatedetailsof3Dweavefabricsaccurately.
3.ProposedMethod
Theproposedautomatedsurfaceparametermeasurementmethodcombinescomputervisiontechniqueswithimageprocessingalgorithmstoefficientlyandaccuratelymeasuresurfaceparametersof3Dweavefabrics.Themethodconsistsofthefollowingsteps:
3.1ImageAcquisition
High-resolutionimagesofthe3Dweavefabricsurfacearecapturedusingadigitalcameraoramicroscope.Theimagesshouldbecapturedfromdifferentanglestoobtaincomprehensiveinformationaboutthefabric'ssurfacefeatures.
3.2ImagePreprocessing
Theacquiredimagesarepreprocessedtoenhancethecontrast,removenoise,andimprovetheclarityofthesurfacefeatures.Preprocessingtechniquessuchasdenoisingfilters,contrastenhancement,andmorphologicaloperationsareapplied
