Abstract:
X-rayfluorescence(XRF)analysisisanimportantmethodforelementalanalysisinvariousindustries,includingmining,geology,andenvironmentalscience.However,accurateandreliablecalibrationiscrucialforobtainingpreciseresultsinXRFanalysis.ThispaperexploresthedevelopmentandapplicationofsinteredorestandardsascontrolsamplesforXRFanalysis.Thesestandardsaredesignedtomimicthecompositionandcharacteristicsofrealsinteredores,andtheireffectivenessincalibrationisevaluated.
Introduction:
XRFanalysisiswidelyusedforelementalanalysisduetoitsnon-destructivenature,highsensitivity,andrapidanalysistime.CalibrationofXRFinstrumentsisessentialtoensureaccurateandreliableresults.Calibrationrequirestheuseofcertifiedreferencematerials(CRMs)orcontrolsampleswithknowncompositions.Sinteredores,whicharecommonlyusedinthesteelindustry,offerseveraladvantagesascontrolsamplesinXRFanalysisduetotheircomplexcompositionsandrelevantmatrixeffects.
Methods:
Thedevelopmentofsinteredorestandardsinvolvesthefollowingsteps:
1.Selectionofsuitablerawmaterials:Amixtureofironorefines,limestone,andcokebreezeiscommonlyusedasrawmaterialsforsintering.Otheradditivessuchasfluorsparanddolomitemayalsobeaddedtoadjustthechemicalcompositionasdesired.
2.Sinteringprocess:Theselectedrawmaterialsaremixedandthensinteredathightemperaturestoformsinteredores.Thesinteringconditions,suchastemperature,time,andatmosphere,shouldbecarefullycontrolledtoobtainreproducibleresults.
3.Characterization:Thechemicalcomposition,phasecomposition,andphysicalpropertiesofthesinteredoresareanalyzedusingtechniquessuchasXRF,X-raydiffraction(XRD),andscanningelectronmicroscopy(SEM).
Results:
Thedevelopedsinteredorestandardsexhibitexcellenthomogeneityandstability.Theircompositionsaredeterminedbycertifiedanalyticalmethods,suchasXRFandwetchemicalanalysis.Therelativestandarddeviations(RSDs)forthemajorandtraceelementconcentrationsarefoundtobewithinacceptablelimits,indica
