Introduction: Waterfloodingplaysasignificantroleinenhancingsecondaryoilrecoverybydisplacingoilfromthereservoirusinginjectedwater.However,asthewatercutincreasesintheproducedfluidsduringwaterflooding,theefficiencyofoilrecoverydecreases.Itiscrucialtodevelopanewmethodtoaccuratelyevaluatetheoilrecoveryefficiencyduringthehighwater-cutperiod.Thispaperproposesaninnovativeapproachthatcombinesreservoirmodelingandsimulationtechniquestocalculatethewaterfloodoilrecoveryefficiency. Methodology: 1.ReservoirCharacterization:Accuratereservoircharacterizationisessentialforreliablesimulationresults.Thisstepinvolvesgatheringdataonthegeological,petrophysical,andfluidpropertiesandconductingathoroughanalysisofthewaterfloodedreservoir. 2.HistoryMatching:Thesimulationmodeliscalibratedtomatchthehistoricalproductiondata.Thisprocessverifiestheaccuracyofthereservoirmodelandensuresthatthesimulationsrepresenttheactualreservoirbehavior. 3.PredictionofReservoirBehavior:Usingthecalibratedreservoirmodel,simulationsareconductedtopredictthefuturebehaviorofthereservoirduringthehighwater-cutperiod.Theinputstothesimulationincludeinjectionrates,productionrates,andotherrelevantreservoirparameters. 4.SensitivityAnalysis:Sensitivityanalysisisconductedtoidentifythekeyfactorsinfluencingthewaterfloodingefficiencyinthehighwater-cutperiod.Parameterssuchasinjectionrate,watercut,reservoirpermeability,andreservoirheterogeneityarevariedtounderstandtheirimpactonoilrecoveryefficiency.
