Abstract:
Intoday'sdigitalera,theInternetplaysacrucialroleinprovidingafastandreliablecommunicationinfrastructure.However,theexponentialgrowthinthenumberofdevicesconnectedtothenetworkhasledtocongestionproblems,affectingboththeperformanceandreliabilityofInternetProtocol(IP)networks.ThispaperpresentsanimprovedmethodforIPcongestioncontrolalgorithmstoalleviatetheseissues.Theproposedmethodaimstooptimizetheuseofnetworkresources,reducepacketloss,andenhanceoverallnetworkperformance.
1.Introduction:
Withtheincreasingdemandforhigh-speeddatatransmissionandtheproliferationofmultimediaapplications,IPnetworksarefacingasignificantchallengeinprovidingefficientandreliablecommunicationservices.Congestioncontrolalgorithmsarecrucialinmaintainingnetworkstabilityandpreventingnetworkoverload.ThispaperaimstoaddressthelimitationsofexistingIPcongestioncontrolalgorithmsandproposeanimprovedmethodtoenhancetheirefficiencyandeffectiveness.
2.CurrentLimitationsofIPCongestionControlAlgorithms:
ExistingIPcongestioncontrolalgorithms,suchasTransmissionControlProtocol(TCP)andUserDatagramProtocol(UDP),haveseverallimitationsthatcanleadtonetworkcongestionanddecreasedperformance.Theselimitationsinclude:
-Inefficientbandwidthutilization
-Excessivepacketloss
-Unfairnessinresourceallocation
3.ProposedEnhancedIPCongestionControlMethod:
TheproposedenhancedIPcongestioncontrolmethodfocusesonaddressingtheaforementionedlimitationsofexistingalgorithms.Thekeycomponentsofthemethodareasfollows:
3.1.AdaptiveCongestionWindowAdjustment:
Tooptimizebandwidthutilization,theproposedmethodincorporatesanadaptivecongestionwindowadjustmentmechanism.Thismechanismdynamicallyadjuststhecongestionwindowsizebasedonnetworkconditions,suchasavailablebandwidthandround-triptime(RTT).Bycontinuouslymonitoringandadaptingthecongestionwindow,themethodensuresefficientdatatransmissionwithoutunnecessarycongestionorunder-utilizationofnetworkresources.
3.2.CongestionFeedback:
Tomin
