Introduction: Thecombustionoffuelinvolvestheevaporationofliquidfueldroplets,mixingoffuelvaporwiththeoxidizer,andsubsequentcombustionreactions.Therateofdropletevaporationsignificantlyaffectsboththefuel-airmixingandtheoverallcombustionprocess.Hence,itisessentialtounderstandtheevaporationcharacteristicsoffueldropletsinordertoimprovecombustionefficiencyandreduceemissions. Methods: Toanalyzetheevaporationcharacteristicsofdifferentcomponentsoffueldroplets,weconductexperimentalinvestigationsusingahigh-temperatureandhigh-pressurechamber.Thechamberisequippedwithafuelinjectorthatcangeneratefueldropletsofvaryingcompositions.Theevaporationprocessisobservedandanalyzedusinghigh-speedimagingtechniques.Additionally,thetemperatureandpressureinsidethechamberarecontrolledtosimulatesubcriticalconditions. Results: Ourexperimentalresultsindicatethattheevaporationcharacteristicsoffueldropletsarestronglydependentonthecompositionofthefuel.Weobservethatdropletscontainingdifferentcomponentsexhibitvaryingevaporationratesandbehaviors.Forexample,dropletscomposedpredominantlyofhydrocarbonstendtoevaporatefastercomparedtodropletswithhigherconcentrationsofadditivesorimpurities.Wealsoobservedifferencesinthesizedistributionandcontactangleofevaporatingdroplets,indicatingtheinfluenceofcomponentsonthedroplet'sbehavior.
