TheContrastiveBackground-GroundedModel(CBGM)hasbeenwidelyusedintranslationandcontrastivestudies.However,theintensityofCBGMvariesunderdifferentstandardsinChineseandEnglishduetothedistinctlinguisticstructuresandculturalbackgrounds.ThispaperaimstoanalyzethefactorsinfluencingCBGMintensityandtheirvariationsinthesetwolanguages.ResultsofthisstudycanenhanceourunderstandingofCBGMandprovideinsightsintothetranslationandcontrastivestudiesinChineseandEnglish.
