Withtherapiddevelopmentoftourism,thedemandforproficientEnglish-speakingtourguidesinInnerMongoliahasbeensteadilyincreasing.Asapopulartouristdestinationwitharichculturalheritageanduniquenaturallandscapes,InnerMongoliaattractsalargenumberofinternationaltravelerseachyear.Consequently,theabilityofoutboundtourguidestoeffectivelycommunicateinEnglishhasbecomecrucialforprovidingahigh-qualitytourismexperienceandpromotingtheregion'stourismindustry.ThispaperaimstoinvestigateandanalyzetheEnglishlanguageskillsrequirementforoutboundtourguidesinInnerMongolia.
Methodology:
Toconductthisresearch,acombinationofquantitativeandqualitativemethodswillbeemployed.Asurveyquestionnairewillbedevelopedanddistributedtotourguidetraininginstitutes,tourismagencies,andtourism-relatedorganizationsinInnerMongolia.ThesurveywillgatherinformationregardingtheimportanceofEnglishlanguageskills,thespecificareaswheretourguidesareexpectedtodemonstrateproficiency,andthechallengesfacedbytourguidesinlearningandimprovingtheirEnglishlanguageskills.Additionally,interviewswithexperiencedtourguidesandEnglishlanguagetrainerswillbeconductedtogainmorein-depthinsightsintotheirperspectivesandexperiences.
