Abstract
Withtheincreasingfocusonenvironmentalprotectionandsustainabledevelopment,reducingcarbonemissionsinthesteelsupplychainhasbecomeanimportantissuethatcannotbeignored.Basedontheperspectiveofhistoricallaws,thispaperanalyzesthecurrentsituationofcarbonemissionsinthesteelsupplychain,studiesthecooperationanddecision-makingmethodsforcarbonemissionsreduction,andputsforwardcorrespondingsuggestionsandcountermeasuresfromtheperspectiveofhistoricallaws.
Introduction
Steelplaysanimportantroleinmodernindustry.However,thecurrentsteelproductionmodeisheavilydependentontheuseoffossilfuels,whichcausesalargeamountofgreenhousegasemissionsandposesaseriousthreattotheenvironment.Therefore,itisofgreatsignificancetopromotethecooperationanddecision-makingoftheentiresteelsupplychaintoreducecarbonemissions.Thehistoricallegalperspectivecanhelpusunderstandtheproblemsandchallengesfacedbythesteelsupplychain,soastoproposetargetedsolutions.
AnalysisoftheCurrentSituationofCarbonEmissionsinSteelSupplyChain
Steelproductionhasalonghistoryandhasundergonemanychangesinproductionmode,technology,andmanagement.However,thebasicmodeofsteelproductionhasnotchangedandstillheavilyreliesonfossilfuels.AccordingtostatisticsfromtheInternationalEnergyAgency,in2020,thesteelindustryaccountedforabout7%ofglobalcarbondioxideemissions,whichisasignificantproportion.Steelproductionisacomprehensiveandcomplexindustry,includingupstreamrawmaterialminingandprocessing,midstreamsteelsmeltingandprocessing,anddownstreamproductmanufacturingandtransportation.Carbonemissionsoccurinallstagesofthesteelsupplychain,andtherearemanyfactorsthataffectcarbonemissions,suchasthetypesofrawmaterials,productionequipment,andmanagementlevels.
