Abstract:
Inrecentyears,theapplicationofadvancedtechnologies,suchasside-scanradar,hassignificantlyimprovedourabilitytomonitorandanalyzewaterflowratesinriversandstreams.Thepurposeofthisstudyistoassesstheaccuracyandreliabilityofflowratemeasurementsobtainedusinganonlineside-scanradarattheZhoujiaheHydrologicalStation.Thestudyincludesacomparativeanalysisofflowratemeasurementsobtainedbytheside-scanradarandthewell-establishedrate-determinationmethod.Theresultsindicatetheeffectivenessoftheonlineside-scanradarinprovidingaccurateandcontinuousflowratemonitoring,makingitpossibletoimprovethemanagementandutilizationofwaterresources.
Introduction:
Accuratemeasurementofwaterflowratesiscrucialforvarioushydrologicalandwatermanagementapplications,suchasfloodforecasting,irrigationplanning,andhydropowergeneration.Traditionalmethodsofflowratemeasurement,suchastherate-determinationmethod,relyonphysicalmeasurementsandcalculations,whichcanbetime-consumingandoftenlimitedtodiscreteandsporadicassessments.Inrecentyears,side-scanradartechnologyhasemergedasapromisingapproachforcontinuousandremotemonitoringofriverflowrates.Thisstudyaimstoanalyzetheflowratesmeasuredbyanonlineside-scanradarsysteminstalledattheZhoujiaheHydrologicalStationandcomparethemwiththeresultsobtainedthroughtherate-determinationmethod.
Methods:
ThestudywasconductedattheZhoujiaheHydrologicalStation,whereanonlineside-scanradarsystemhasbeendeployedtomonitorflowratescontinuously.Theside-scanradarsystemuseselectromagneticwavereflectionandbackscatteringtogeneratehigh-resolutionimagesoftheriverbedandtrackthemovementofwaterparticles.Therate-determinationmethod,employedforcomparison,involvesphysicalmeasurements,suchascross-sectionalareaandwatervelocity,tocalculateflowrates.
ResultsandAnalysis:
