Introduction:
Inrecentyears,landtransferhasbecomeanincreasinglyimportantissueinagriculturaldevelopment.Thetransferofagriculturallandfromindividualhouseholdstolarger-scalefarmingunitscanimproveproductionefficiencyandpromoteruraleconomicdevelopment.However,thewillingnessoffarmerstoparticipateinlandtransferactivitiesplaysacrucialroleintheoverallsuccessofthepolicy.ThispaperaimstoanalyzethelandtransferintentioninJimusaerCountyandidentifytheunderlyingfactorsaffectingfarmers'decisions.
Background:
JimusaerCounty,locatedintheXinjiangUygurAutonomousRegionofChina,hassignificantpotentialforagriculturaldevelopmentduetoitsfertilelandandfavorableclimaticconditions.However,thefragmentednatureoflandownershipandthesmallscaleofagricultureproductionlimitthecounty'sproductivity.Thegovernmenthasimplementedpoliciestopromotelandconsolidationandencouragelandtransferasameanstoimproveagriculturalefficiencyandenhancefarmers'income.
Methods:
Theresearchstudyemployedamixed-methodapproach,combiningquantitativeandqualitativemethods.AsurveyquestionnairewasdevelopedanddistributedtoasampleoffarmersinJimusaerCounty.Thequestionnaireconsistedofsectionsondemographicinformation,farmcharacteristics,landtransferintention,andperceivedinfluencingfactors.Inaddition,semi-structuredinterviewswereconductedwithasubsetoffarmerstoprovideanin-depthunderstandingoftheirperceptionsandexperiencesregardinglandtransfer.
Results:
1.LandTransferIntention:
ThesurveyresultsrevealedthattheoverallintentionoffarmerstoparticipateinlandtransferactivitiesinJimusaerCountywasrelativelylow.Onlyasmallpercentageofrespondentsexpressedawillingnesstotransfertheirland.Themajoritycitedvariousreasonsfortheirreluctance,includingattachmenttotheland,fearoflosingownership,andconcernsaboutfuturelivelihood.
