WhenIwasyounger,everythingseemedstrangeandattractivetome,asitwere,Iliketotryallnewthings.Iwasalsocuriousaboutthethingsaroundme.Inaword,Ilikedtoexperiencesomethingnewandexciting.
Therewasanunforgettableexperienceinmychildhood.Ithappenedonahotsummerafternoon.Thesunglareddownwithmercilessintensityonthewholeearth.Asthetemperaturegothigher,Ibecamemoreandmorerestless,asifthesoulofminehadbeenremovedfrommybody.Ididn’twanttodoanything,IjustwanttofindashadyspotwhereIcankeepcool.Suddenly,anideapoppedintomyheadthatwhynotgetsomefunwithmypartners.
Afterassemblingagroupoffriends,weweredeterminedtogoswimmingandwerantoariverrapidly.Becauseoftheshortageofage,wedidn’tfeelshyatall,wejustwantedtodiveintothewaterasfastaswecan.Ijumpedintoriverlikeathirstfish.AlthoughIcannotswim,Ihadastrongdesireforpractice.WhenIwasjustabouttohaveatryandIhadnoideawhyIhadfellendownintothewaterandIdrankalotofwater.Outofconditionedreflex,Istruggledlikecrazyinwater.Fortunately,Istoodupfinallyandtookinthefreshair.Totellthetruth,Iwasinshadowoffearatthattime.Iturnedtowardmyfriends,theywereenjoyingthefunofwaterandeveryoneputasmileontheirfaces.Perhapsbecauseoftheirlaughter,thefeartowatercametoanendgradually.Idecidedtotryitagain,Icopiedtheirmovesandtrytodisplaybymypractice.Someofthemswamlikeafreefresh,likeasharpfrog,likeacurlysnake,theylookedsocoolatthatmoment.Outofsecurity,Iwascarefultopractiseandrepeatthepracticingoverandoveragain.Afterawhile,IcouldswimlikethemandIcouldswimtoanywhereIliketo.ItwasthenthatIscreamedwithexcitement.
Bybeingthroughthisexperience,IhadfoundIwasmuchmoreconfident.Itwasameaningfulthinginmychildhood.Irealizedifwewanttodosomethingsuccessfully,weneedtolearnfromthosewhoarebetterthanyou.Inaddition,consistencyisalsoakeyfactor,becauseofthefinalsuccessonlybyconsistency.
