第一篇：上外介绍(英文版)ShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversity(SISU)wasfoundedinDecember1949astheformerShanghaiRussianCollege.ItlaterwasnamedtheShanghaiForeignLanguageInstituteandbecameanationalkeyuniversityapprovedbytheStateCouncilin1963.ApprovedbytheMinistryofEducationin1994,itwasofficiallyrenamedas“ShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversity”.Inthesameyear,itwaslistedasoneofthefirstcollegesanduniversitiesjointlysupervisedbythenationalMinistryofEducationandtheMunicipalityofShanghai.In1996,itpassedtheevaluationprocessofProject211directedbytheMinistryofEducation,andbecameoneofthenation’s“100keyuniversitiesforthe21stCentury.”ShanghaiInternationalStudiesUniversityisaresearch,teaching,andmultidisciplinarycomprehensiveuniversity,committedtocultivatingforeignlanguageeliteswith“high-quality,multipleskills,internationalvision,spiritofinnovation,andcapacityofpractice”.Havingalongtraditionofconscientiousteachingandlearning,SISUenjoysaverygoodreputationbothathomeandabroad.Now,SISUhastwocampusesinHongkouandSongjiang.TheHongkoucampusislocatedinthecenterofShanghai,covering16.9hectareswithelegantsurroundings.TheSongjiangcampusisinShanghai'sSongjiangNewDistrict,coveringanareaof53.3hectares,withapicturesqueenvironment.Atpresent,SISUhasafull-timeenrollmentofover1,400postgraduatestudents,6,000undergraduates,800collegestudents,and1,200internationalstudents.Therearealso25,000othertypesofregisteredstudentsinvariousprograms.SISUhasafacultywithsignificantacademicprestigeandeducationalexperience.Thefull-timeteachersnumbermorethan500,includingmorethan300professorsandassociateprofessorsaswellasagroupofyoungandmiddle-agedoutstandinglecturers.b.CollegesandDepartmentsSISUcomprisescollegesanddepartmentsthatofferassociate,bachelor,bachelorandpostgraduateprograms,programsforadults,networkprogramsandprogramsforinternationalstudents,aswellasseveralresearchinstitutes.Thereare20teachingcollegesanddepartments:CollegeofEnglishLanguageandLiterature,CollegeofJapaneseCultureandEconomy,CollegeofOrientalLanguagea
