第一篇：省外办领导多样性讲话(英文)TheOpeningCeremonyofInternationalSymposiumonBiologicalDiversityforSustainableDevelopmentin2010AddressbyYunnanforeignaffairsoffice.Distinguishedleaders,dearguests,nationalexperts,scholars,teachersandstudentsofYunnanAgriculturalUniversity:Helloeverybody!OntheoccasionoftheopeningoftheinternationalConferenceofthebiopersityforsustainabledevelopment,onbehalfoftheForeignAffairsOfficeofYunnanProvincialPeople'sGovernment,Iexpresswarmcongratulationstotheopeningofthisproseminar.Biologicalpersityisthebaseofthehumanbeingsurvivalanddevelopment.Agriculturalbiologicalpersityisanimportantcomponentofbiopersity,andiscloselyrelatedtohumansurvival.Conservationofagriculturalbiopersitywillcontributetomaintainingecologicalbalance,ensuringfoodsecurityandpromotingthesustainabledevelopmentofhumansociety.Chinaisoneof12countrieswiththeworld'srichestbiopersity,andisoneoftheworld'seightcropsorigincentersofandthefourcropgeneticresourcescenters.WithvarioustypesofterrestrialecosystemsandtherichestspecialresourcesintheNorthernHemisphere,ChinaisthebiologicalgenebankintheNorthernHemisphere.TheChinesegovernmentissuedthe“ChinaBiopersityConservationActionPlan”in1994,andin2010amendedtimelythe“ChinaBiopersityConservationStrategyandActionPlan(2011-2030),”whichofthesepolicieshasplayedanimportantroleinstrengtheninginternationalcooperation,promotingconservationandsustainableuseofChinabiologicalpersity.YunnanisthenaturaltreasurehouseandbiopersityresourceofChina.Withvariedclimateandecosystemtypestropicaltofrigidzonesfordifferenthabitatsspeciestosurvive,speciesresourcesareveryrichinYunnanandenjoythereputationsofthe“KingdomofPlants”,“AnimalKingdom”,“genetictreasure”intheworld.It’soneofthenaturalgenebankofthegeneticmaterialwithimportantscientificvalue,economicvalue,environmentalvalueandaestheticvalueinChinaandeventheworld.YunnanProvincehaverespondedpositivelytothepartycentralcommitteestrategyforbiopersityconservation,maderelevantpoliciesanddonealotofworkinbiologicalpersityconservati
