第一篇：研究生英语演讲比赛稿EconomicalGlobalization&DevelopmentofChinaGoodafternoon,ladiesandgentlemen,mynameisZhangBotao,IamfromShaanxiUniversityofScience&Technology.WhenIstandheretodelivermyspeech,I’malittleworriedaboutmycellphoneandalsoyours.I’mafraidthatoneofthemmaysuddenlyringloudlysothatmyfascinatingspeechwillprobablybeinterruptedbySIMENS,NOKIA,MOTOROLAorpANDA.Andthisisjustonepossibleresultcausedbyeconomicglobalization.Nomatterifyouadmititornot,wearenowallinaglobalvillageandeconomicglobalizationisheretostay.Nowadays,economicglobalizationisbeingreferredtomoreandmore.Idon’tknowwhofirstinventedtheword,butundoubtedly,itissteadilyandinexorablybecomingmoreandmorecommonandimportant.Itcoversourworldsoquickly,justlikeinfluenza.AsCharlesDarwinnoted:Survivalofthefittest.Inordertoadapttothisgreatandglobalreform,Ithink,theremustbesomethingimportantandurgentweneedtodo,foreverynation,everycorporation,andeventoeveryperson.First,takemeforanexample.Justtenyearsago,Ididnotknowwhatacomputerwas,letalonewhatitcando.Butsince2001,Icannotlivewithoutmycomputer,justlikeIcan’tlivewithoutmycellphone!Ofcourse,thesegreatchangesarederivedfromeconomicglobalization,andtherapiddevelopmentofChina.ForeveryChinesemanlikeme,theserapidchangesmeangreatchallenge:Becauseofeconomicglobalization,manynewtechnologiesrushedintoChinawithouttranslation;Becauseofeconomicglobalization,manyunknownsoftwareappearedonourdesks;And,becauseoftheeconomicglobalization,wemusthastenourrhythmofliving,workingandevenresting.ThespeedofthedevelopmentofChinahasbeentremendouslyaccelerated,soifwedon’twanttobeelapsedfromthisgreattidalwaveofdevelopment,wemustunderstandthemeaningofthisphraseveryclearly:Oneisnevertoooldtolearn.Second,toanenterpriseinChina,italsomeansaproblemconcerningsurvival.OurentrancetoWTOhaspavedthewayformanysuperuniversalcorporationstoentertheeconomicmarketofChina.Thismeansthecompetitioninourdomesticmarketwillbemuchmorebrutalthaneverbefore.Ifourstateenterprisesandothercompaniesdon’tadjusttothisglobalreformandgetus
