第一篇：罗斯福对日宣战演讲稿罗斯福：国会珍珠港演讲Mr.VicePresident,Mr.Speaker,MembersoftheSenate,andoftheHouseofRepresentatives：Yesterday,December7th,1941--adatewhichwillliveininfamy--theUnitedStatesofAmericawassuddenlyanddeliberatelyattackedbynavalandairforcesoftheEmpireofJapan.TheUnitedStateswasatpeacewiththatnationand,atthesolicitationofJapan,wasstillinconversationwithitsgovernmentanditsemperorlookingtowardthemaintenanceofpeaceinthePacific.Indeed,onehourafterJapaneseairsquadronshadcommencedbombingintheAmericanislandofOahu,theJapaneseambassadortotheUnitedStatesandhiscolleaguedeliveredtoourSecretaryofStateaformalreplytoarecentAmericanmessage.Andwhilethisreplystatedthatitseemeduselesstocontinuetheexistingdiplomaticnegotiations,itcontainednothreatorhintofwarorofarmedattack.ItwillberecordedthatthedistanceofHawaiifromJapanmakesitobviousthattheattackwasdeliberatelyplannedmanydaysorevenweeksago.Duringtheinterveningtime,theJapanesegovernmenthasdeliberatelysoughttodeceivetheUnitedStatesbyfalsestatementsandexpressionsofhopeforcontinuedpeace.TheattackyesterdayontheHawaiianislandshascausedseveredamagetoAmericannavalandmilitaryforces.IregrettotellyouthatverymanyAmericanliveshavebeenlost.Inaddition,AmericanshipshavebeenreportedtorpedoedonthehighseasbetweenSanFranciscoandHonoluluYesterday,theJapanesegovernmentalsolaunchedanattackagainstMalaya.Lastnight,JapaneseforcesattackedHongKong.Lastnight,JapaneseforcesattackedGuam.Lastnight,JapaneseforcesattackedthePhilippineIslands.Lastnight,theJapaneseattackedWakeIsland.Andthi--orning,theJapaneseattackedMidwayIsland.Japanhas,therefore,undertakenasurpriseoffensiveextendingthroughoutthePacificarea.Thefactsofyesterdayandtodayspeakforthemselves.ThepeopleoftheUnitedStateshavealreadyformedtheiropinionsandwellunderstandtheimplicationstotheverylifeandsafetyofournation.AscommanderinchiefoftheArmyandNavy,Ihavedirectedthatallmeasuresbetakenforourdefense.Butalwayswillourwholenationrememberthecharacteroftheonslaughtagainstus.Nomatterhowlongitmaytakeustoovercomethi
