Gamificationisanewconceptthathasgarneredconsiderablemomentumoverthelastfewyears.Whilstmanybelievethatitisaworld-changingconcept,othersseeitasashort-livedspin-offofsocialgameslikeBadgevilleorFoursquarelackinginsubstance.Thispaperreviewstheliteraturerelatedto―Gamification‖.Itspurposeistopresentthebasicconceptsbehinditandassesstheinfluencegamemechanicshaveonpeople‘sbehaviour.
ThispaperalsoevaluatestheconceptofGamificationandpresentsexamplesofitsusageineducation.
