Abstract:
TemperatureProgrammedDesorption(TPD)isacommonlyemployedtechniquetostudythedesorptionbehaviorofmoleculesfromsurfaces.Accuratedeterminationofpeaktemperaturevaluesiscrucialforunderstandingtheprocesskineticsandsurfaceinteractions.However,variationsinexperimentalconditions,instrumentsetups,anddataanalysismethodscanintroduceuncertaintiesinthemeasuredpeaktemperatures.ThispaperaimstodiscusstheimportanceofpeaktemperaturecalibrationinTPDexperimentsandexplorevariouscalibrationapproachestoimprovetheaccuracyofthemeasurements.
1.Introduction:
TemperatureProgrammedDesorption(TPD)iswidelyusedtoinvestigatethedesorptionofmoleculesfromsurfacesbyheatingthesampleataconstantrateandmonitoringthedesorbingspeciesasafunctionoftemperature.However,TPDexperimentsrequirecarefulcalibrationtoensureaccuratedeterminationofpeaktemperaturevalues.TheobjectiveofthisstudyistoreviewthesignificanceofpeaktemperaturecalibrationinTPDexperimentsandexploredifferentapproachesforachievingreliablemeasurements.
