Introduction
Inrecentyears,Chinahasseenarapiddevelopmentinthestandardizationindustry,whichhasplayedanessentialroleinpromotingindustrialupgrading,enhancingproductandservicequality,andfacilitatinginternationaltrade.TheStandardizationLawofthePeople'sRepublicofChinawasenactedin1989,andhaswitnessedsignificantchangesinChinesesocietyandtheglobaleconomysinceitsimplementation.Therefore,theamendmentandimprovementoftheStandardizationLawisnecessarytobetterreflectChina'scurrentconditionsandmeetnewdemandsforstandardizationdevelopment.ThispaperexploresthebasicorientationoftheamendmentandimprovementofChina'sStandardizationLaw.
Background
TheStandardizationLawofthePeople'sRepublicofChinawasenactedin1989andhasundergonetwoamendments,onein2000andanotherin2018.Theamendmentsaimedatadaptingtothenewsituationofscientificandtechnologicalprogress,economicglobalization,andtherequirementforsocialdevelopment.Thefirstamendmentfocusedonsimplifyingthestandardizationsystem,strengtheningtheroleofstandardizationinmarketregulation,andimprovingthequalityofstandardization.Thesecondamendmentfurtherclarifiedtheresponsibilitiesofthegovernment,enterprises,andsocialorganizationsinstandardizationworkandemphasizedthedevelopmentofstandardizationwithinemergingindustrysectors.
Nevertheless,theexistingStandardizationLawstillfacessomechallenges,suchasinadequatestandards,lowstandardizationawarenessamongenterprisesandconsumers,andinsufficientstandardizationinfrastructure.Therefore,theamendmentandimprovementoftheStandardizationLawshouldfocusonimprovingthequalityandefficiencyofstandardizationwork,promotinginnovationandtechnologytransformation,andfosteringafairandopenmarketenvironment.

EmphasisonQualityandEfficiencyImprovement
TheamendmentandimprovementoftheStandardizationLawshouldfocusonstrengtheningthequalitycontrolofstandardsandstandardizationwork.Thegovernmentshoul
