Introduction
EMCscanningtechnologyhasbeenwidelyusedinvariousfieldsincludingmedicaldiagnosis,engineeringinspection,andsecurityscreeningduetoitsadvancedfeaturessuchashighresolutionimaging,non-destructivetesting,andfastscanning.Three-dimensional(3D)imagingtechnologyprovidesrealisticrepresentationsofobjectsandenhancestheaccuracyofmeasurements.Inthispaper,wepresentthedesignofa3DmobileplatformbasedonanEMCscanningsystem.Theplatformaimstoprovideaversatiletoolforresearchersandengineerstoconductnon-invasivemeasurementsofobjectsinvariousfields.
EMCScanningSystem
TheEMCscanningsystemworksbasedontheprincipleofelectromagneticinduction.Itinvolvestheuseofamagneticfieldtoinduceelectricalcurrentsinconductivematerialssuchasmetals.Thecurrentsgenerateelectromagneticfields,whichcanbedetectedbyasensorandthesignalsareprocessedtoproduceanimageora3Dmodeloftheobject.ComparedtootherscanningtechniquessuchasX-rays,CTscans,orultrasound,EMCscanningissafeandnon-destructivetotheobjectsbeingscanned.Additionally,itiscapableofprovidinghigh-resolutionimagesandcanpenetratethroughnon-conductivematerials.
MobilePlatformDesign
The3DmobileplatformbasedonanEMCscanningsystemconsistsoftwomaincomponents:thescanningunitandthemotionplatform.Thescanningunitisattachedtothemotionplatform,whichcanmoveinthreedirections:up-down,left-right,andforward-backward.ThescanningunitincludesanEMCscannerandasensorthatisusedtocapturetheelectromagneticfieldsgeneratedbythescanner.Thesensorreceivestheelectromagneticsignalsandsendsthemtoadataacquisitionunitthatisconnectedtoacomputer.Thecomputerprocessesthesignalsandgeneratesa3Dimageoftheobjectbeingscanned.
Themotionplatformisdesignedtoprovideaversatiletoolforresearchersandengineerstoconductnon-invasivemeasurementsofobjectsinvariousfields.Theplatformisexpectedtomovesmoothlyandaccuratelyinallthreedirections.Theup-downmotionisachievedusingalinearactuator,andtheleft-rightandforward-backwardmotionsareachievedusingasteppermotor.Theplatformiscontrolledbyamicrocontroller,whic
