TD-HSUPA终端EVM测试算法研究
Oneofthekeyperformancemetricsforahigh-speedpacketaccess(HSPA)wirelesssystemistheerrorvectormagnitude(EVM)ofthetransmittedsignalfromthemobileterminal.Inparticular,inthecaseoftime-divisionhigh-speedpacketaccess(TD-HSUPA),whichisa3Gwirelessstandarddesignedtoenablehigh-speeduplinkdatatransfer,EVMisacrucialparameterthatimpactsthequalityofcommunicationanddeterminesthemaximumachievabledatarate.Therefore,accurateEVMtestingalgorithmsareessentialforevaluatingtheperformanceofTD-HSUPAterminals.
Inthispaper,weaimtoinvestigatethevariousEVMtestingalgorithmsthatcanbeusedtoaccuratelymeasuretheEVMofTD-HSUPAterminals.WewillbeginbyprovidinganoverviewofTD-HSUPAtechnologyandthesignificanceofEVMinthiscontext.WewillthendiscussthebasicprinciplesofEVMmeasurementandthedifferenttypesofEVMtestingalgorithms,withaparticularfocusonthetechniquesusedforTD-HSUPAterminals.
TD-HSUPAisawirelesscommunicationtechnologythatprovideshigh-speeduplinkdatatransferratesofupto5.76Mbps.Itusesatime-divisionduplex(TDD)modeofoperation,whereuplinkanddownlinkchannelssharethesamefrequencyband,butdifferenttimeslots.TD-HSUPAemploysavarietyofadvancedtechniques,includingadaptivemodulationandcoding(AMC),hybridautomaticrepeatrequest(HARQ),andmulti-inputmulti-output(MIMO)technology,toimprovethesystemperformance.EVMisametricthatmeasuresthequalityofthetransmittedsignalfromtheterminal,whichiscriticalindeterminingthesystemperformance.
EVMisameasureofthedifferencebetweentheidealsymbolgeneratedbythetransmitterandtheactualsymbolreceivedatthereceiver.Itistypicallyexpressedasapercentage(%)andiscalculatedusingtherootmeansquare(RMS)oftheerrorvector(EV)inphaseandamplitude.EVMmeasurementcanbeperformedinboththetimedomainandthefrequencydomain,andtherearemanydifferenttestingalgorithmsavailable.Someofthemostcommonlyusedalgorithmsincludetheerrorvectormagnitude(EVM)method,theconstellationerror(CE)method,andthespectralamplitudeerror(SAE)method.
